How a build works.
Why do I see a design preview first?
So you can judge the direction before committing budget to the build. The preview isn’t billed: you only pay once you decide to go ahead with development.
What if the preview isn’t quite right?
We revise it with you. Coding only starts once you’ve approved the design, and if it turns out we’re not the right fit, you can stop there without paying a build fee.
Who owns the website and source code?
You do. We’ll recommend the hosting and domain registrar for your use case and help you set them up under your own name. The source code is 100% yours once development is complete.
How easy is it to update my own content?
On the Plus and Premium plans we integrate a content management system, so you can upload blog posts, project listings or team updates through a simple interface. No coding required.
Are there any recurring monthly fees?
No. You pay for the development once, and you own it. There’s no maintenance retainer. You pay your hosting provider directly for server costs (approx. RM 50–100/mo depending on traffic), and we don’t take a cut.
When exactly do I need to pay?
The design preview isn’t billed. If you decide to proceed with the full build, you pay the flat fee for your chosen package before development begins.
That payment is treated as a fully refundable commitment deposit: we build the site and let you test it on our staging server for 7 days. If you’re not completely satisfied in that window, we issue a full refund. The payment only becomes final once you give the green light and we deploy the website to your domain.
What happens after the website is launched?
Premium projects include a 30-day launch guarantee to fix any development bugs for free. For Basic and Plus, or for new features and changes after the guarantee period, we offer on-demand development at RM 80/hour. No long-term contracts.
Are you always available for new builds?
No. Website builds run alongside Jia Yong’s project and technical lead work, so we only take on 2–3 new builds per month. If we’re full, we’ll let you know the next available slot.
I already have developers. Can you lead them instead?
Yes. If you’re building a system or app with your own developers, Jia Yong can join as your project and technical lead: planning the roadmap, setting technical direction, and guiding the team through delivery. See how that works.
